Organ Promenade Concert, July to September 2019

July 15 (Mon), 2019, to September 28 (Sat), 2019

A series of free concerts will be given 2 or 3 times a month on the grand organ installed in the ATM Entrance Hall. One of the largest organs made by Japanese organ builder, it features a total of 3,283 pipes. Come enjoy a relaxing moment savoring the beautiful tones and timbre of the organ at noontime on weekends.

Davide Mariano, born 1988, is one of the most demanded organists of his generation and performs a repertoire which ranges from the earliest organ music of the Middle Ages to the premiere of contemporary works. Awarded with many prizes at international music competitions (among others in St Albans and Amsterdam), he has appeared in some of the most prestigious concert halls and churches in Europe, the USA and Asia, including Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Konzerthaus Berlin, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, The Symphony Hall in Osaka, Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, and The Cleveland Museum of Art, as well as for festivals in Rome, Vienna, Stuttgart, Paris, Toulouse, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Tel Aviv. During the concert season 2016/17 the musician has been organist in residence at the Sapporo Concert Hall and afterwards at the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans until April 2018.
